Karen Michelle Nutt resides in California with her husband. Though her three children are grown and starting their own adventures, she still has a houseful of demanding pets. Jack, her Chorkie, is her writing buddy and sits long hours with her at the computer.

Sharmila Devar is an American actress of Indian descent, born and raised in the Midwest. She majored in Economics at The University of Chicago, but thanks to the Common Core, was able to gratify her immense curiosity by studying a slew of fascinating topics such as Victorian Feminist Literature, Greek Philosophy & Tragedy, and Latin American Civilization. (That curiosity remains intact today.) A classically trained actress, Sharmila has worked extensively in regional theaters throughout the US, including South Coast Repertory and Steppenwolf Theatre Ensemble. She works as a commercial, voice over and film/television actress in Los Angeles, and is well known for her work on ABC’s SCANDAL (Lauren Wellman), NBC’s OUTSOURCED (Lata) and Disney XD’s animated STAR WARS REBELS & STAR WARS THE CLONE WARS (Countess Ursa Wren). She has narrated a variety of audiobooks, with a particular focus on young adult and romance novels. In her free time, she feeds many cats – both her own and those belonging to the neighborhood, explores new restaurants, gardens and is a voracious reader.
