My Review:
Geneva Ericksen is a powerful psychic, so much so, she can kill without touching. She can't risk falling in love or being close to anyone because she just might kill them unintentionally. When her best friend and Rolf's sister go missing, she's tasked with helping Rolf find her. Rolf, the man who despises her and who she still has feelings for. Or does he? His smoldering gazes tell her one thing while his cold words tell her another. She can't be distracted by Rolf, she must find his sister before it's too late. But there's a sinister plot to abduct Geneva and Rolf, transfer their explosive and deadly powers to the crystals before killing. Can Geneva and Rolf combine their strengths and connection to defeat their enemy or will their mistrust of each other only bring pain and death?
Cross Waves is a thrilling paranormal romantic suspense I couldn't put down. From the beginning, I connected with both Geneva and Rolf. It appeared to be an enemies to lovers romance at first but then it turned into something much more intense. Rolf is a hero among heroes. He's conflicted on so many levels, it was fun to watch him squirm. The plot moves at a fast pace with plenty of twists and turns to keep you wondering who the enemy is. I didn't figure out who it was until it was revealed. The romance, though, is what makes this such a wonderful story. There's a lot of obstacles for this couple to overcome but when they do, wow! It's explosive, to say the least. Amanda Uhl is an outstanding writer and her stories are irresistible. I whipped through the pages and stayed up late reading. Yes, it was that good. If you're looking for a paranormal romantic thriller you'll lose sleep over, pick up Cross Waves. Highly recommend!

Amanda Uhl has always had a fascination with the mystical. Having drawn her first breath in a century home rumored to be haunted, you might say she was "born" into it. After a brief stint in college as a paid psychic, Amanda graduated with a bachelor of fine arts in theatre and a master's degree in marketing. Over the past twenty years, she has worked as an admissions representative and graphic designer, owned her own freelance writing company, and managed communications for several Fortune 500 companies, most recently specializing in cyber security.
