My Review:


Looking for a rollicking good time? Stop what you’re doing and read this book. In Love With My Djinn is Bridget Jones meets I Dream of Jeannie with a sexy modern twist. Nicki Pascarella delivers a hilarious rom com where the hero is a genie and the heroine snaps at him at every turn. The chemistry is off the charts. The dialogue and banter are fast, funny, and flirty. In Love With My Djinn is an unputdownable steamy read.


What makes this book a delight are the characters. There’s Regina, of course, who acts in a very realistic way. Many women will relate to her plight. Then there are her BFF, her wacky grandmother, her ex-fiancé, and the hot guy who says he’s a djinn. A full cast of characters, each one zanier than the next. The character development of Regina is well-written with precision. The characters propel the plot and make for an enjoyable reading experience.


The descriptive narration and setting are immersive and create a lush backdrop for this romance. Each scene is described in vivid detail.


The romance is classic romantic comedy with a fantasy twist. The romantic tension takes awhile to amp up but when it does, wowza. The romantic banter between the hero and heroine makes In Love With My Djinn a must-read.
