Carney still held my hands. I ripped them free with such force, I almost fell backward before regaining my balance.


“Welcome to my humble abode,” he said.


From the looks of my surroundings, we were in a study or converted bedroom. “Where am I?”


“Don’t you mean when are you?”


His words slammed into me like a freight train. When had he taken me to? Location wasn’t as important. Since I was basically luggage on this journey, I wouldn’t be returning to where we started in twenty-four hours. Carney had dragged me with him on his return trip.

What’s your favorite thing about autumn:


Since I’m a paranormal mystery writer, I have only one answer—Halloween!


What inspired you to write this story:


I have always loved time travel books and shows. One of my favorite series as a child was “The Time Tunnel.” In later years, I watched every episode of “Quantum Leap” twice. With my characters taking several trips back in time, this story allowed me to dabble in past decades.

Author Biography:
