Title: The Breeder Slave (Deg’Nara Book 2)
Author: P.L. Parker
Genre: Science Fiction Romance, Futuristic Romance
He was her salvation…or her destruction.
The galactic war between the Chiagan-Se and the treacherous Deg’Nara wages on. The human females Leah and the Irish lass Moira are captured and then abandoned, forced to fend for themselves on a barren planet light years from all they know. Their only hope is Sulas, a fugitive breeder slave, who wants nothing to do with them. Survival is chancy at best, but together, the three embark on a perilous journey to rejoin the Chiagan-Se rebels. But can they survive?
All kidnapped Leah and Moira want to do is escape the ruthless Deg’Nara. Their sole focus becomes survival as they’re stranded on an island with foreign animals and little to no food to eat. Leah is the smarter one and soon takes charge. If they can forage for food and water, while outwitting scary creatures of all sizes and keeping hope alive, they’ll be fine. When they pair up with Sulas, a breeder slave on the run, he wants nothing to do with them. He’s got his own problems to deal with. Reluctantly, the three fugitives team up and work together to somehow make it back to the Chiagan-Se rebels. Will they make it or are they doomed to suffer on this barren planet?
The Breeder Slave is an action-filled futuristic romance sure to please any sci fi reader. I wasn’t sure what to expect in this sequel to The Chalice but I enjoyed it. The three main characters are in complete contrast to each other. Each one has its own set of strengths and weaknesses, yet I found myself connecting with them all. The plot is fast-moving with very detailed descriptions of the landscape, creatures, and action. The romance is very steamy yet beautifully written. The Breeder Slave has layers of dystopian which added grittiness to the story. If you love sci-fisci-fi romance, heavy on the action, then you’ll want to dive into The Breeder Slave. Highly recommend!

I write stories with alpha males and strong, determined women. I am a dreamer, an avid reader of fiction, a sometimes gardener and an inept crafter. I live in Idaho. I have a husband, three sons, two daughters-in-law, a granddaughter and new little grandson. Over the years, I taught dance but as time passed, I decided to try my hand at a new endeavor - writing. I enjoy life and all its promises.
