My Review:


It was only supposed to be a hot hookup in Chicago but when Sloane and Michael both return home to deal with family issues, they must confront the fact that they must bare more than their bodies when it comes to love. Sloane’s used to men hitting on her in the club. It’s all part of the job but she doesn’t know what to make of the man who just spilled his bourbon all over her dress. The more they talk at the bar, the more she wants him. When he takes her upstairs, it’s a battle of sexual prowess as they explore one another. It’s a hot night Sloane can’t forget and try as she might, the feelings bubbling up inside her just won’t go away. Relationships never work, right? But love? Sloane’s not sure. All she knows is that she’s back in Michigan caring for her family. All of her insecurities and flaws are ripe for the picking and she’s not sure if Michael can handle it all. Can love show these two what happens in Chicago can last a lifetime?


What Happens in Chicago is a blistering hot erotic romance I thoroughly enjoyed. I connected with both Sloane and Michael right away. It was fun to watch Sloane knock Michael off his game time and again. The plot is fast-moving with plenty of steamy fun times. What I loved best was the depth of the story. It’s not just about the sex but about two people’s lives with families, insecurities, flaws, careers, obligations, and more. The romance is smoking hot yet authentic. It wasn’t instalove or anything like that. The conflicts are very real and the push-pull between Sloane and Michael had me whipping through the pages. The intricate detail about beer and the brewery fascinated me. Liz Crowe is a brilliant romance writer whose characters are unforgettable. When you’re reading a Liz Crowe romance, you know you’re in for a wonderful story full of emotion. If you’re an erotic romance reader, you’ll want to read What Happens in Chicago. Highly recommend!
