#TuesdayThoughts on #HolyWeek and #Easter! #inspiration #Christianity #grateful

"Do you realize that Jesus is there in the tabernacle expressly for you – for you alone? He burns with the desire to come into your heart." – St. Therese’ of Lisieux

It's Holy Week for Christians around the world and while I don't talk about my faith as much as I used to, my faith is reflected in every action, word and emotion I emote. I love Jesus and I follow His example. My thoughts are filled with Him and all He sacrificed so I could be free.

If you knew you were going to die in a week, what would you do? Would you spend time with your friends and family, passing on what you've learned or would you choose that time to be alone, preparing for what's to come?

Jesus did both. The last week of His life, He instilled in His disciples important tenants of Christianity. He knew He wasn't going to be around much longer and He entrusted His disciples to be witnesses to His ultimate sacrifice. He stressed the urgency, praying His words didn't fall on deaf ears.

He also spent time alone, praying, asking His Father (God) for the strength to do what must be done. Death stalked Him and yet when He was weak, He got on His knees to pray.

These actions empower me as a woman and believer. No matter what I'm going through and how exhausted I am, Jesus understands. When I am teetering over the edge, I send a quick prayer asking for strength.

Holy Week is a time for all believers to reflect on how much Jesus loves us and paid the ultimate price. His unconditional love never ends, no matter what we do, act, feel.

I'm so grateful He loved me that much, I dedicate my life to Him and spread the Light to everyone I meet (whether online or in person). I follow His example and love everyone, including those who are considered homeless and downtrodden. I walk among the crowd, hanging out with those rejected by society, not because it rewards me financially but because I'm doing what Jesus would do.

Love one another.

What are you reflecting on this week? What are you grateful for? Share in the comments and I'll add you to my prayers this week.
