Today is Red Nose Day in both the US and the UK. It's a fun, silly way to help children in need. No child should even be hungry or wonder where they'll sleep, when they'll get their next meal or wonder if they'll be warm.
"Simple yet powerful, visible and playful,
the Red Nose has always been our symbol.
It brings us together, breaks down barriers,
and reminds us of the power of laughter.
This year Red Noses arrive with a touch of silver sparkle, because giving children a brighter future is something to celebrate." -- Red Nose Day website
Comic Relief launched in the United Kingdom with the goal of using comedy to raise money and help those leading tough lives. The vision? Creating a just world free from poverty.
The movement continues to grow with every fundraiser held, TV special aired, partner enlisted, and Red Nose sold. Globally, Red Nose Day has raised over $1 billion since its launch in the U.K. in 1988. (Red Nose Day website)
You can buy your nose at any Walgreens in the US or donate online here:
Please donate today and go nose to nose with celebrities and people just like us to end childhood hunger. We've got our nose on and have donated. Have you?
