It's #FreebieFriday and Friday Book Round-Up Has Lassoed Several #UrbanFantasy Must-Reads! #Frid

Welcome to this week’s edition of Friday Book Round-Up. Urban Fantasy is one of my favorite genres. I love the supernatural element along with kick-ass action. I’m always looking for new authors to binge-read. Since it’s Freebie Friday, I thought it would be fun to share some of the great urban fantasy titles I’ve picked up from Prolific Works this week.

Bad Soul (The Uncanny Ink Series Book 1)

Unscrupulous and lethal, Erin Banks has everything she needs to be an assassin in a world full of mobsters, monsters, and magic. She wasn’t born with powers, but thanks to her Uncanny Ink—arcane tattoos that transform her body into a magic-fuelled killing machine—she’s more than a match for anyone dumb enough to stand between her and getting paid. Fresh out of prison, Erin wastes no time getting back to what she does best: running down wanted men and claiming their bounties. But when a powerful demon lurking in a black cathedral hires her to round up an errant soul, the creature offers a reward far more valuable than money… He offers Erin the key to unlocking her tragic past. The key to the mystery surrounding her long-lost brother.

Underground Magic (London Coven Book 0)

Join London's guardian, Stella Familiar, on her first job, sixty years ago. Underground Magic is a short prequel to the London Coven series.

Tough Luck - Saga of the Shamrock Samurai - Folktale 1

Portal Fantasy meets Supernatural Thriller The name’s Sean O’Farrell, and I’m supposed to be lucky. If you couldn’t tell by the name I’m Irish. Irish American that is. I’ve only had the bad kind of luck lately. I’m just a normal high school graduate trying to figure out how to be an adult. In the meantime I’m juggling homework, a possible girlfriend, a screaming Banshee, and a black wizard. If I don’t figure out how to stop the Banshee, she might not only kill me but my mom and little brother too. Luckily I’ve got a samurai sword, my dad’s old gun, and possibly a little magic…

Ghost Hunters Part One

It started with a dream. In it, John Earl Stark solved the problem of a ghost he met. Or did he? It was a dream, after all. The next day he meets two women who visit his cabin, arriving out of the blue, literally. (Well, one arrived with pitched black darkness which filled his cabin and made her cough.) These two have an offer for Stark. All he really wanted was to enjoy the small cabin and solitude so he could write his detective stories. These ladies had another offer - to help them solve the reasons ghosts don't move on. Plenty of new inspiration for stories, decent pay, won't interrupt his writing schedule. Of course, he could die doing it...

Ink: An Urban Fantasy Adventure (Tribe Book 1)

Gaining their ink was just the first step. Now they have to earn it. A group of teenage misfits are transformed into immortals with magical powers. They race against time to discover the Settlers' secret plan if they are to prevent impending global catastrophe "A thrilling ride, with twists and turns that even the most experienced reader will never forget!" - Dustin Bilyk, Author of The Tournament of Hearts “This is a fast-moving, high action story with insights into real-world problems, the first of what promises to be a compelling series.”— New York Times bestselling fantasy author Piers Anthony

Half Wolf

Fen Young is a half-shifter whose inner beast is more mouse than wolf. Home is her castle, the only place she's ever felt safe.

Enter Hunter Green, an enticing uber-alpha who seems like just the ticket to broaden Fen's horizons...until he brushes off his admirer and summarily rejects her from her home pack.

Now treading water in the no-man's land of outpack territory, Fen must confront a missing pack mate, a tantalizing stranger, and a serial killer targeting half-werewolves. Will she be able to shore up her waning power in time to save her friend...and half-breeds everywhere...before it's too late?

This Time (3 Chapter Sample)

Not even death can stop her.

Legendary demon hunter Nadira Holden has been torn from her next life and resurrected in present-day New York. The demons she once battled have made peace with humans. Or, so they claim. But brawls between demons and humans are becoming more frequent, and human leaders are disappearing.

Tasked by the shadowy organization that trained her, she must battle her own personal trauma and once again fight for the souls of mankind. Will Nadira remain a beacon of light to those fighting for humankind? Or will she lose her humanity to the darkness within?

Fight with demon hunter Nadira Holden in a new dark fantasy series that combines monster-slaying action, family drama and steamy romance.

It's not the price she expected for escaping magical slavery, nor is the unstable power now pulsing in her veins. Caught between her former master's hunters and the Guild Sorcerers determined to kill them, she finds a safe haven at a dog rescue willing to take in a different kind of stray. But Helena's newly-unleashed power is a beacon for her enemies. And they're threatening the first place she's ever thought of as home.

Captured

Kiana has one deadly decision to make...

In Burnville, Nevada, the Fallen have taken over the city after years of integrating themselves into the fabric of society. Desperate to make amends for the part she played in the Fallen’s occupation, Kiana enlists the help of her long term boyfriend David to help broker a truce between the fallen angels and The Opposition, a group of resistant humans determined to reclaim the city. But when the Fallen changed the rules of the game, Kiana and David must convince The Opposition to work with the Fallen to destroy a dark angel hell bent on ridding the world or Fallen and human’s alike.
