What's happened to humanity in the human race these days?

Yesterday a friend of mine was at the gym doing her workout on the treadmill. She had an accident and fell off. She spun around to grab the handrails to prevent getting sucked under and injured her arm. She landed on her stomach on the ground in obvious pain. She made eye contact with people around her but they didn't lift a finger to help. They just watched as she exhaled in pain.

What the heck? Is there no decency in the world anymore? No one can take a second out of their own lives to help someone in need?

This reminds me of the story of the Good Samaritan. A man is injured on the side of the road in need of help. Two men walk on by without lending a hand. A third man bends down and helps the injured man.

Are you one of the two who ignore a person in need or are you the third man who helps the person in need?

I am the third man and I hope you are too.

When you see someone who gets hurt or needs assistance, help them. Don't ignore them because you don't want to get involved. Put humanity back in the human race and show kindness.
