My Review:


Can the melody of love lure Nyana to trust the one man who’s never failed her? Nyana is haunted by the past, especially by the violent cruelty of her late husband, the king. She can’t escape his taunting from the great beyond. To ensure her daughters’ safety and her own, she put her faith in her friend, Joel. Joel’s kindness is a soothing salve for her fragile heart. While she tries to not succumb to his charms, every moment with him is bliss. When her past rears its ugly head, she knows she and her daughters are in danger. She’s harboring a dark secret, but can she entrust Joel with her heart, mind, and spirit? Will he run when she reveals the truth or will love overcome all?


A Glimpse of Music is a breathtaking fantasy romance I couldn’t stop reading. Sydney Winward has penned an emotional story filled with trauma, pain, abuse, love, joy, and so much more. Nyana has suffered through so much turmoil, and she has the scars to prove it. She is a heroine that’ll capture your heart. Joel’s unrequited love leads to something much more passionate. He is a hero you’ll fall in love with. Sydney Winward is one of my all-time favorite authors and this gem proves why I adore reading her books. Through intricate narration, she details everything from the setting to the clothes to the emotions to the action. It’s like streaming your favorite show, only in book form. The romance unfolds naturally and is fraught with obstacles to overcome. I thoroughly enjoyed watching these two fall in love. If you’re a romance reader, pick up A Glimpse of Music. If you’re a fantasy romance reader, you’ll fall in love with A Glimpse of Music. An epic story of abuse, love, betrayal, and overcoming great odds. Highly recommend!
