Title: A Witch’s Quandary

Author: Tena Stetler

Genre: Paranormal Romance/Paranormal Mystery

Book Blurb:

Gale's engagement is off because she refuses to leave her thriving business in Ireland to follow Dillon to Scotland. Her family and friends are on the emerald isle. Yet, when Dillon returns with the whole story and asks for her help, she must follow her heart.

Becoming a Solicitor, then partner in the family law firm was never Dillon's dream. Now it's his nightmare. Called to Scotland, his father demands he take his rightful place in the firm or be disowned and disinherited. Something is terribly amiss in the firm and family.

During Gale and Dillon's investigation, they discover the enforcer for the Demon Overlord is also delving into rumors the firm is acting illegally. Magic has been stolen, someone is being blackmailed, and a member of the Witch's council is corrupt. If Gale and Dillon want a life together in Ireland, they have to unearth secrets threatening to destroy the firm and family in Scotland.

My Review:

A called-off engagement, a possible disinheritance, stolen magic, all add up to trouble unless Gale and Dillion root out the culprit. Everything Gale knows and loves is in Ireland. When Dillion is forced to go home to Scotland or risk being disowned by his father, their engagement is off. Gale insists on staying in Ireland yet when Dillion returns and confesses all, Gale agrees to help him. As they investigate not only the family but the firm as well, rumors turn to fact and there’s a whole mess to sort out. Stolen magic, blackmail, illegal activity, a crooked council member, and more secrets reveal themselves. Can Dillion and Gale sort it out and return to Ireland in time to say ‘I do’ or is it too late?

A Witch’s Quandary is a paranormal mystery filled with suspense, family drama, adventure, plus a dash of romance. Tena Stetler grabs the reader from the first chapter and doesn’t let go. The premise intrigued me right away and I thoroughly enjoyed the originality of the romance. It’s not boy meets girl but rather an engaged couple who uncouple due to misunderstandings and family obligations. The quandary comes in when Gale helps Dillion. The love is still there, between these two, and as they work through the conflicts, their love grows. I found it an exceptionally executed plot and I couldn’t stop reading. The descriptive narration transported me to lush locales of both Ireland and Scotland. What a treat. A Witch’s Quandary is a wonderful paranormal romantic mystery. Highly recommend!
