My Review:


What’s a woman to do? Daisy Bloom has been in love with her brother’s best friend, Boone, for as long as she can remember. She’d just about given up hope when suddenly he confesses how conflicted he is. She calls him on his bluff and gets her secret wish one night in a cabin. Instead of curbing their desires, it only burns hotter. Clandestine meetings soon turn into a cycle of lies, deceit and betrayal. Is their relationship only fueled by lust or can they come clean about how much they love each other?


Cowboy Boone is a wild ride of attraction, secrets, passion and romance. Sibling’s best friend taboo romance is one of my favorite tropes and Cowboy Boone is one of the best I’ve read. What makes it so good is the setting. I know next to nothing about cowboys/westerns/ranches but Rhonda Lee Carver’s descriptive narration educated me. I learned so much and even picked up the slang, too. Rhonda Lee Carver either lives on a ranch or did a great deal of research. Well done! The characters make Cowboy Boone shine. While I loved Daisy and Boone, the supporting cast of characters add immense pleasure while reading. All of the characters bring a little something to the story. The dialogue flows so well and I loved all the subtext. The plot moves at a great pace with plenty of emotional tension. The ending made me smile. This is my first book by Rhonda Lee Carver and let me tell you, it won’t be my last. Rhonda has a gift for writing romance. She draws a reader in and doesn’t let go until the very end. She’s now become a must-read author for me. I can’t wait to read more! Highly recommend!

Writing for Rhonda is like falling in love and finding a new best friend over and over again. Her characters will find a place inside your heart too.
