My Review:


A self-proclaimed bachelor falls for a woman who makes him want to sail off together but can it work? Gavin is working round the clock to get his marine science foundation for kids off the ground. He needs money and resources, but his wealthy family won’t back it. They think it’s a pipe dream. He’s determined to prove them wrong but gets sidetracked when he meets Sophie. She’s a high school science teacher, working and living in Cape Cod on a temporary basis. She’s luminous and has the same love of teaching science to kids as him. She makes him feel things he’s never experienced. Is this love? Gavin’s not sure but he's willing to find out. Can Gavin and Sophie sail away together while both achieving their career goals, or will this romance run aground?


Gavin – Last Man Standing is a sweet romance I couldn’t stop reading. As someone who loves coastal towns and studying marine wildlife, I was totally in my element while reading this book. There’s no greater hero to me than teachers. Sophie is a teacher who wants to make a difference. I connected with her right away. I also connected with Gavin. He’s one focused man who is in need of a partner, someone to share his passion with. Their chemistry is electrifying yet stays sweet in Gavin – Last Man Standing. I loved reading their romance bloom into something wonderful. The emotional narration thrusts the reader into the story. Every emotion, every thought, and every feeling is poignantly described. The setting is the Cape and the seaside vibe is interwoven throughout the story. The plot moves at an excellent pace and the ending…wow! If you love romance, you’ll want to read Gavin – Last Man Standing. A sweeping sweet later-in-life romance not to be missed, Gavin – Last Man Standing is your next reading adventure. Highly recommend!
