Genre: Steamy Contemporary Romance

Publisher: Blooming Cactus Publishing, LLC

Book Blurb:

A chance meeting brought them together. But unraveling their past could send them spiraling apart…

Chase Allen didn’t expect to fall in love, not on this road trip. This journey was about fixing his newly-minted stepfather’s disastrous construction project, and putting the past away - where it belonged. But seeing if his mother had truly changed…well, that was where moving on became a problem.

With his emotional support dog by his side, he neared the small town where his mother lived, returning to the woman who should have provided a safe haven for him as a child, but instead only inflicted pain. He desperately searched for something, anything to prevent him from reaching his dreaded destination.

He visited a local bar, hoping for some information to help his project. But the most beautiful girl he’d ever seen stopped him in his tracks. Suddenly his trip took on a new purpose—to make her fall in love with him…

Her heart skipped a beat when he opened the door. The billionaire farmer from Georgia, Chase Allen, sauntered into the bar like he owned it. But when he sat down to chat, the psychologist in her sensed his pain, while the woman in her desired to please him. Maybe she’d help him face his fears, and in turn, he’d help her heal the wounds from her own sordid past.

Will two imperfect people find the strength to overcome the trauma of the past to build their own happily ever after?

Excerpt:

“Zoe, give the guy a drink.” Declan’s voice knocked her out of whatever mindscrew she was in with hot and sexy farmer Chase Allen.

“Oh, yeah. Sorry.” It’s not like I’m going to marry the man. I doubt there’s a man alive who would marry me after I tell him about my history. She shook her head and grabbed a glass tumbler. “What do you want?” Please don’t ask for a beer. No. Ask for a beer. Fantasy farmer will end with your order. No alcoholics. No drug addicts. No heavy partiers. I want a man who is responsible, loving, nurturing, supportive. I need a man who will pass Declan’s man-worth-my-time test.

“A cola would be great.”

Thank you, God. A soda drinker. Her hands trembled as she added ice and cola to the glass. Calm down. Calm down. He’s just a man. He’s passing through. He’s not interested, and I’m living next to Declan for the rest of my life. We’re a package deal.

She placed the glass down in front of him.

“Breathe, sweetheart.” Chase leaned forward toward her. His voice lowered to a soft whisper. “I grow things. Fix things. No need to be nervous.”

“Yeah, uh, thanks for whatever you did with the door.” She inhaled. His words lingered in her ears—“I grow things, fix things.” Can you fix me?

Her hands continued to tremble with the kind of want that would keep her up all night wishing he was with her—holding her under his firm control, whispering he needed her, that she gave him everything he ever wanted in a woman, but wishing more than anything that he loved her.

She wetted her lips and attempted to raise her gaze from the perfectly shaped muscles filling out his chest and neck. Those biceps and forearms and hands…I’d suck on your fingertips. Kiss the pulse at your taut neck. I’d…no. No thoughts of intimacies or love or marriage or babies with fantasy farmer. But I want all that with my fantasy farmer. This might really be love.

She moaned softly.

Declan raised his brow at her and turned toward their guest. “Uh, Chase, what brings you here?”

Quickly, she cleared her throat and ignored the areas that were throbbing but shouldn’t have been. “Yeah, uh…Are you passing through? Visiting for a day or two or week or more? Is there a farming conference nearby we don’t know about? Are you moving here?”

Chase’s tongue traced his lips in what seemed to be a call to action for her to lean in for a taste.

“Visiting,” he said in that sexy drawl.
