Genre: Holiday Romance

Book Blurb:

Sugar Plum fairies eat your heart out. Madison Reynolds has visions of a different kind dancing in her head. Home for the holidays in Cedar Bend, Colorado, Madison must focus on helping her bedridden pregnant sister, not fantasize about the one who got away. But how is she supposed to forget about her high school crush when she bumps into him at every turn? From the moment Ryder Sanders untangled the reindeer antlers from Madison's hair his Christmas season appeared brighter. The time spent in her company leaves him more smitten. So, why does she still treat him as if he has cooties? They're not in high school anymore. Can the two find a forever love? Or will their wishes melt away like icing on a Christmas treat?

My Review:

Bumping into her high school crush in the cookie aisle brings back those old feelings but mixed signals lead Madison to wonder if it’ll be heartbreak or love. Madison returns to her hometown to help her very pregnant sister and nephew around the house. It’s a couple of weeks before Christmas and she’s happy to ease some of the burden while her sister is following doctor’s orders. The only problem is Madison keeps running into her high school crush, Ryder. She tries to keep her emotions in check because it appears he’s still with his high school girlfriend. Her sister says otherwise, and she can’t deny her feelings for Ryder are stronger than ever. But they’re not in high school anymore and both have grown since then. Can she take the plunge and confess her feelings to Ryder, or will she give in to the shy girl she was in high school and let him go once and for all?

Tangled in Tinsel is a second-chance romance I absolutely adored. Isn’t the title so sweet? Very visual. As a read a certain scene, I understood where the title came from. Tangled in Tinsel has everything readers love in a holiday romance: second-chance romance, returning home, plenty of misunderstandings, chemistry, an old girlfriend trying to come between the hero and heroine, an adorable kid, tons of holiday ambiance, and a sweeping ending. I connected with Madison right away. Ryder was an intriguing hero who doesn’t quite know how to handle the two women vying for his attention. The romance was sweet with a definite love triangle vibe. What makes Tangled in Tinsel such an emotional story was the descriptive narration. N. Jade Gray immerses the reader into the story, so they become a part of it. If you’re a holiday romance junkie, you need to read Tangled in Tinsel. If your reading jam is holiday romance, pick up Tangled in Tinsel. This award-winning book needs to be made into a movie. Highly recommend!

Author Biography:

N. Jade Gray, grew up on a farm in Oklahoma with one sister and three brothers. She began reading romance novels in high school and was hooked. In an attempt to entertain her friends, she began writing stories. The biggest hurdle she had to overcome with her writing was sharing her stories. Her former writing groups, the Wichita Area Romance Authors and Low Country Romance Writer’s, helped with her confidence and shook the needed pom poms to get her motivated for publication. She is also a former member of the Romance Writers of America. She met her husband while attending college and has two grown sons. Not really knowing what she wanted to do when she grew up, she’s held various jobs in the accounting and legal fields. She lives in Kansas (currently-but moving to Missouri in a couple of weeks) with her husband, rescue cats Meera, Mango, Pancake and one spoiled dog-named Fabio. Yes, she helped name the dog. She loves to hear her husband calling for his four-legged companion.
