Hunger steers Chase Allen into a local bar but can love heal the pain buried deep inside? Billionaire farmer Chase Allen is on a road trip to help his stepfather and to put the past to rest, for good. Love is the last thing he expects but maybe with the help of his dog and the beautiful Zoe, the woman who stole his breath and heart, he can face down the woman who claims to be his mother. The road will be fraught with pitfalls, as Zoe has her own trauma-filled past to deal with. As Chase works to claim Zoe as his very own, he discovers true love plants a seed in his heart and it’s almost time for harvest.
Unexpected Love: Chase Allen completely caught me by surprise. While it’s a steamy billionaire romance (one of my favorite tropes), there’s also heartbreak, pain, emotional trauma, betrayal, plus plenty of familial angst. Just like real life, eh? I instantly connected with both Chase and Zoe. Their flaws and frailty endeared me to them, so much so, I experienced their pain. Chase is a hard-working man who also happens to be rich while going after the woman he wants. There’s a tenderness within Chase as well. Talk about ticking all my boxes as far as a leading man in a romance goes. Zoe is a heroine most women can relate to. Unexpected Love: Chase Allen’s plot moves at a great pace with just the right amount of heat. Anna Lores is one of my favorite erotic romance authors and with Unexpected Love: Chase Allen, she tones down the hot love scenes while amping up the emotional narration. Anna Lores’ gift for writing an incredibly moving story with hot sex scenes is on display in her latest release.
