Incorporate Passion into Your Life and See the Transformation in Your Business! #inspiration #motiva

"If you feel like there's something out there that you're supposed to be doing, if you have a passion for it, then stop wishing and just do it." -Wanda Skyes

Are you stuck in a rut, not sure what the next step is?

As entrepreneurs, it’s easy to get caught up in managing our time between work, family and personal life. We resemble a rubber doll, being pulled in all directions. We put our focus on what needs our attention immediately and switch to auto-pilot. Our passions get pushed to the back-burner.

After working for a quarter century in the book industry, I left it all behind to marry my beloved Mr. N and move to Canada. While I was thrilled with all the success I had, something was missing from my life. I couldn’t put my finger on it but there was an ache in my chest and a feeling I was destined for something great. But what could it be?

Books have been a passion of mine ever since I was little. While I was (and still am) a voracious reader, I knew my destiny was no longer at the retail level. I talked it over with my husband and he suggested I incorporate my two passions: books and helping others. In that moment, N. N. Light Author Promotions birthed itself and the rest, as they say, is history.

What are you passionate about? Have you incorporated your passions into your business?

We need to have passion be the cornerstone of our business or we might as well be working for someone else. Find what gets your motor running, gets you excited and merge it into your daily life. I wake up every morning eager to start the day. Helping authors achieve their dreams through my words, graphics and enthusiasm for books gives me a better high than a venti cup of coffee with an expresso shot.

Need help figuring out what your passions are? Here are five journaling prompts to get the juices flowing:

  1. Think back to when you were young. What item or activity gave you joy?

  2. If you could do anything with your life, no matter the cost, what would you do?

  3. What personality traits brings a sense of pride? Whether it’s talking, writing, helping people or something else, what gives you joy when you’re doing them?

  4. What drives you? What motivates you?

  5. If you were to write down your personal life story, what were you passionate about?

When you’re living a passionate life, work doesn’t seem like work and your clients will respond to your infectious passion.
