The Marquess’s Christmas Lily by Angelina Jameson @RegencyLady #romance #historicalromance #Regency

Title: The Marquess’s Christmas Lily

Author: Angelina Jameson

Genre: Regency Romance, Historical Romance

Book Blurb:

On the eve of his Grand Tour of the Continent, Charles shares an unexpected kiss with his childhood friend Lily. A year later Charles returns to England due to the death of his father. The old marquess controlled his son’s life and attempts to do so even in death. Charles must have an arranged marriage to his childhood friend or lose his fortune.

Lily grew up in a happy household and knows she loves her friend. Charles’s parents couldn’t stand the sight of each other and lived separate lives. He isn’t sure what married love is.

A journal of Charles’s travels may hold the answer to whether these friends live happily ever after or whether they made the biggest mistake of their lives.

Her voice was just this side of frosty when she replied, “It would be an honor to dance with you, Lord Upton.”

The music signaled a waltz, and Lily sent an accusing look his way as he pulled her into his arms.

“I did not coerce the orchestra into playing a waltz,” he said, refusing to take offense at her bristles. “And I didn’t spirit Geoffrey away somewhere so I could dance with you.”

His last statement made her smile. “You are impossible, Charles.”

“And you love me for it.” The words were out without thought. The sweet curve of her lips ensnared him. He held his breath as he waited for her response to his glib words.

Lily’s face softened. “Yes, Charles, I do love you. What do you say to that?”

He pulled her nearer for the first turn of the dance as he replied, “I think we need to discuss the future.”

Most people are happier, more joyful. For a few weeks we all smile a little more and are a little bit friendlier to strangers.

Author Biography:

Born in Las Vegas, NV, I joined the air force to see the world. An assignment to England kindled my love of the Regency era and prompted my dream to publish the stories in my head. I love to write with a steady supply of coffee nearby and one of my three cats on my lap. I currently live in Alaska with my husband and two teenage boys and wish I had the attention span to be a better cook.
