Title: Broken Halo

Author: Rhonda Lee Carver

Genre: Romantic Suspense, MC Romance

Book Blurb:

Will he risk everything, even his life, for trouble in stilettos?

As Savage Halo Royalty, Brick is a revered MC member, but because he isn't "blood" some Royalty members don't trust him, including Vice President King. Royalty has been breathing down Brick's neck to marry an ol' lady of their choice to prove his loyalty to the club.

For three years, Brick has been undercover. He's spent every minute carefully planning his next move, watching his back, and building trust within the club to do one thing. Bring down criminal Max King. Brick's so close he can almost taste it.

Then in walks trouble from the past.

Ireland Atlas is an ex-member and deserter of Savage Halo, which puts her on a "list" with Royalty. She's looking for her sister who was last seen near the Broken Halo Club that Brick runs. When Ireland gets him caught up in a situation that puts her life in danger, and risks exposing him as an agent, he vows to save her. But first, she must do something for him.

They must marry.

They will have to fight to stay alive. But can they fight the feelings erupting between them?

Undercover Silvers are part of an undercover unit with the DEA. They focus on bringing down MC criminals. Each agent has a story to tell of tours of duty, war wounds, heartbreak, resilience, and most importantly, skill. And they're all SILVER FOXES.

My Review:

On the brink of taking down criminal Max King, in walks Ireland Atlas and Brick's heart takes a tumble. Brick is an undercover DEA agent infiltrating the Savage Halo motorcycle club. He's worked tirelessly building a case to bring down VP Max King. When former Savage Halo member Ireland walks into the club looking for her sister, he knows he's in trouble. He treads carefully, ensuring Ireland stays out of Max's control, even at risk to his exposure as an agent. One slip and he's done for. To keep them both alive, they must marry. His self-control weakens and they heat up the bedroom. As Max King amps up the pressure, Brick realizes only one thing matters. Ireland. He'll do whatever it takes to keep her alive and, in his arms, even if she breaks his heart.

Broken Halo is a hard-core MC romance with a silver fox and a feisty heroine. I couldn't put this romance down. From the beginning, I connected with Ireland right away. She's an independent woman who not only speaks her mind but doesn't let any man tell her what to do. She jumps in feet first and her first priority is finding her sister. Brick is a hero with a hardened heart who's all business. His one weakness is Ireland. The descriptive narration is deep, emotional, and plunges the reader into the story. You're not only reading about a motorcycle club but you're a part of it. The plot moves at a quick pace with realistic action scenes and steamy romance. There's also plenty of suspense. Max King is the ultimate bad guy. I'm really into silver fox romances right now so Broken Halo ticked a lot of boxes for me. I loved the hardness of Brick softens with Ireland's tender touch. If you love MC romances, pick up Broken Halo. If you're a fan of dark romances, you'll want to read Broken Halo. Another brilliant romance by Rhonda Lee Carver, Broken Halo gave me chills. Highly recommend!

Author Biography:

Rhonda Lee Carver is a bestselling author of romance. Her first love was a cowboy she'd read in a novel and has been her inspiration since.

Fun Fact: She wrote a rough draft of a story on a dirty napkin while sitting in a parking lot after buying diapers for her newborn. That was her first published story in 2010. She's written over a hundred novels since.

Her kids are the center of her world, her animals are her babies, and her fictional characters fill her heart. She has a soft spot for cowboys, small towns, and taking readers down an emotional journey that ends with a happily ever after. Writing for Rhonda Lee is like falling in love and finding a new best friend over and over again. Allow her stories into your heart too.
