My Review:


A woman with no memory, a detective grieving his wife’s death, and the answers lead them into the teeth of a storm. Missing You is an emotional roller coaster filled with suspense, loss, fresh starts, a puzzle, and a bit of romance. The characters leap off the page and into your heart. The suspense is intense. The emotions run high. The action is pulse-pounding. The ending was a complete surprise. I loved it!


Let’s start with the emotional narration. Wow, there is a ton of emotion in this story. It’s the forefront of the narration and carries the plot from start to finish. Luke is lost in a sea of emotion. He’s mourning the loss of his wife and escapes to his secluded cabin in the Rockies. Then, there’s the injured woman suffering from loss of memory. Something terrible happened to her but she can’t remember. Pauline Baird Jones takes these two traumatized people and makes you care for them and their plight. It’s not overly done but just enough to make this book impossible to put down.


The plot moves at a good pace with a fair amount of action and suspense scenes. The tension builds until you reach a pulse-pounding conclusion. Brilliant from start to finish, this is one of my favorites of this series.
