Exclusive interview with Santa and Christmas Comes to Dickens #99cents #Christmas @nfraserauthor

It's my absolute pleasure to welcome Santa Claus to N. N. Light's Book Heaven. Joining up with the Dickens ladies, we convinced him to sit down for a spot of hot cocoa and a chat. So, without further ado, here's Santa:

My given name is Kris Kringle, although most of you know me better as Santa Claus. While I travel the globe giving away toys, I have a special affinity for the beautiful New England town of Dickens. There’s something extra special about the tight-knit community that opens its doors and hearts to everyone, especially during the holiday season.

The children of Dickens are a delight. There’s a precocious five-year old Millie, three-and-half year old twins Robbie and Will, six-year-old Aimee Hall who’s wishing for her deployed father to come for the holidays, and ten-year-old Hailey Murphy desperately searching for her lost cat. Then, of course, the five Henry cousins, all boys ranging in age from six to sixteen. They’re a handful to be sure but, like all the children of Dickens, a true joy!

What is your greatest fear?

Having sleigh trouble, or heaven forbid, an ill reindeer. I count on everything being in optimal condition in order to keep to my demanding schedule.

What is your current state of mind?

Jolly of course! Mrs. Claus has kept me full of delicious cocoa and cookies. Thank goodness she found the “It’s a Dickens of Cookie!” free recipe book. I’m always happy to try new type of cookies!

Which words or phrases do you most overuse?

Ho, Ho, Ho!

What or who is the greatest love of your life?

Mrs. Claus, of course. True love is often hard to come by but I was fortunate and found my soulmate. That’s another wonderful thing about the town of Dickens. It’s filled with enough timeless romance to suit everyone’s dream of the perfect relationship.

When and where were you happiest?

Christmas Eve ... year after year. There’s nothing like the excitement of a new adventure, a chance to visit the children I’ve come to know and love. After Christmas Eve, it would have to be Christmas morning at the North Pole. It’s the most relaxing day of the year.

What do you consider your greatest achievement?

Really? You try delivering a world-full of presents in under 24 hours.

What do you most value in your friends?

Compassion, honesty, and generosity of spirit. Without those things, you can’t have true love or friendship.

Thank you, Santa... errr... Kris for sitting down for this interview. I know how busy you are checking your list. Season's Greetings!
