What I love most about the holiday season:


While everyone else is running around preparing for the holidays, I have learned to slow down and remember daily the precious people in my life. The holidays can either drive you insane, and they have done so to me in the past, or you can make a concerted effort to slow done and count your blessings. My family and I decided several years ago a change was in store, and thus, during the holiday season we pause, spend time with one another in simplicity and joy and rest. The simplest meals, mixed with a glass of hot chocolate or wine, and a run of Christmas classics on TV make us happy. The fire warms us as we snuggle under blankets and occasionally even roast a marshmallow or two. We feel immensely blessed for the food on our table, the roof over our heads, the warmth radiating from the fireplace, and the love we share.

Author Biography:


Mona Sedrak lives in Cincinnati, Ohio and works as a university administrator and professor. Although she has co-published two academic books, she is now writing mainstream fiction and women's fiction. She is an avid reader and is probably Audible's best customer.


Writing and reading fiction is her escape from reality.


Mona lives with her husband of 30+ years, a geriatric maltipoo, and an Amazon Parrot named Pretzel. She binge watches too many shows to count and she loves fine brandy.
