5 stars for The Witch Whisperer (Keepers of Magic Book 1) by Barb DeLong #fantasyromance #bookreview

Title: The Witch Whisperer (Keepers of Magic Book 1)

Author: Barb DeLong

Genre: Fantasy Romance

Book Blurb:

Perfectionist witch Willow Gladstone will go to any lengths to improve her weak and glitchy magic to avoid incarceration in the secret witch society’s Haven. She doesn’t bargain for a rehab residency with the one person she’d like to avoid—the exasperating but sexy, on-line magic fixer The Witch Whisperer.

Reclusive Never Ravenwood, the Witch Whisperer, hates relationships. Content to live out his lengthy sentence for past misdeeds alone on a secluded estate, he doesn’t welcome the distracting inclusion of beautiful Willow. Finding a cure for Willow’s broken magic takes them on extraordinary journeys through a portal to another realm full of friends, foe, and danger. What will the seekers sacrifice for life and love?

My Review:

I simply loved this book. I couldn't put it down. The thing that really hits for this work is the humor in the dialogue. As a huge fan of What We Do in Shadows, this book made me laugh so much. There are several storylines that keep your mind swirling. Sprinkled throughout are funny lines. Read it yourself and see if you don't laugh!

Willow and Nev are a fantastic pair. The book-length journey of the two of them is so addictive. The characters are really great whether good or bad or just family. The world building done here makes the book such a great time.

I was wowed by this book and will be keeping a copy on my reader to read again.

If you enjoy books with magic and witches, then get this book. If you enjoy paranormal romance, then buy this book. I think this is a terrific book and I am glad I read it. You will be too.

This is Teddy’s final review. He sends his appreciation to all the authors for writing such great books.

Author Biography:

Barb loves reading, writing, and animals, not necessarily in that order on any given day. She writes contemporary and paranormal stories of love, laughter, and magic, and you know there’ll be a feature creature in there somewhere. Her short stories appear in several anthologies, including Secrets of Moonlight Cove, Love for Christmas, The Truth That Can’t Be Told, and The Truth That Can’t Be Told 2. She is currently working on a paranormal romance series called Keepers of Magic, about a society of witches desperate to keep their existence a secret. The first in the series, the recently released light fantasy romance The Witch Whisperer, is under contract with The Wild Rose Press. Book two, The Keeper’s Code, is very much a work in progress.

A transplant from the Canadian cold, she enjoys sunny Mission Viejo, California, with her husband and a pampered, blue-eyed, ragdoll cat.
