Alessandra watched Jake disappear into the crowd. She knew where he was heading, and it spelled disaster. The last thing she needed was a confrontation with a man she failed to get out of her system and the father of her child, although he did not know about Rainey, and she planned on keeping it that way. She stared into the glass of ice water in her hands, knowing that Lucas was glaring at her, until she could not stand it anymore. She slowly raised her chin until her gaze met his and those haunting, blue eyes bore into her soul. The club quieted and Alessandra found herself spellbound in the moment, unable to look away. His breath filled the speakers and then his rich voice sang lyrics meant only for her. She shook her head to clear the spell he wove over her soul before making a break for the door. She had to get away from Lucas. The timbre of his voice did weird things to her body. This was a mistake. His voice ceased to sing just as she grasped the doorknob. Alessandra glanced over her shoulder only to see him jump off the stage. In a panic, she dashed out the door into the parking lot hoping to avoid the hot mess barreling her way.

She is an avid reader and, in particular, loves darker paranormal romance. Her hobbies include coin collecting, physical fitness, stained-glass art (beginner), poetry, and song writing. Kristal primarily writes for her publisher, The Wild Rose Press, although it should be noted she has self-released several books.
