Friday Book Round-Up | Mrs. N can't wait to read these books #amreading #fridayreads #newrelease

Welcome to this week’s edition of Friday Book Round-Up. This week, I had my e-reader have a melt-down and had to switch all my books onto a new e-reader. Boy, that was stressful. While in the midst of doing that, I accidentally deleted 35 books (which I loved… sniff, sniff). I purged almost 300 books from my reader which I either hated or never have an interest in reading. Since I have all this room on my e-reader, it’s time to fill it with books I can’t wait to read. There’s so many coming out next month and October, I’m feeling like a kid in a candy store. So, here’s a sampling of what I’ll be reading in September:

About Face (Love in the Suburbs Book 1) by D.E. Haggerty

My grandma is trying to hook me up. To be painfully specific, my seventy-five-year-old grandmother thinks a little hanky-panky would cheer me up. Direct quote. Since I’m currently living with her, I can’t escape the endless line of grandchildren of friends who keep ‘dropping by’ for dinner. Literally, I can’t escape. I can barely manage the trek to the dining room at this point. While Grandma’s determined to find me a husband, I’m determined to learn how to walk again so I can walk away from her matchmaking skills. Spoiler alert: She has no matchmaking skills. But then I get a brilliant idea. I can fake date my physical therapist. Only he wants a real date. Gulp. A real date with me? Is he for real? I’m no longer the stylish girl with the glamorous job. Now, I’m a woman with a shattered leg and a scarred face. If I’m going to learn to live with my new reality and give love a chance, my attitude needs to do an about-face. Easier said than done.

Holt Ericsson can tell the beautiful redhead hates him on sight and the feeling is becoming mutual. But he will call in a favor and convince Sam’s legendary director father that Pacific Vista Ranch is the only suitable place left in California to film an epic Western. Holt’s invested all his savings in the movie and his entire career is riding on it. No way will he allow one irritating, sexy woman to stand in his way. They sign their letters as the Resurrection Girls. But as Kara's friendship pulls Olivia out of the dark fog she's been living in, Olivia realizes that a different kind of darkness taints the otherwise lively Hallas women—an impulse that is strange, magical, and possibly deadly.
