Have you ever had one of those days when the whole world seems to be plotting against you? You oversleep, spill coffee on your suit, miss the bus/subway, get stuck in traffic, get to work late, computer blows up, etc. The world is not your oyster on this day and you cry out in frustration, "WHY???"

I have had these days and so has everyone else. It's like the world is against you and you are alone in your suffering. You are not alone; you only have to shift your perspective. We all will have days like this.

What do you do when this happens?

Me, I think about the mighty airplane.

Airplanes are wonderful strong machines and they are the most popular mode of transportation these days. They can take us anywhere in the world. They are the ticket to a new life, a vacation, an oasis or a business meeting. They are made from heavy durable materials and the coolest thing about them is that they have to take off against the wind. Yes, against the wind!

We could learn a lot about dealing with life's twists and turns from the airplane. Life is an adventure and sometimes we don't like what is around the corner. We cringe and curse at the world. We say it is too much to handle. But I say, in order to overcome those misadventures, we need to soar above them.

So, the next time the world throws you a curve ball, close your eyes and imagine yourself to be a 747 airplane. Aim your aircraft against the wind and take off. Soon you'll be flying high is the sky and smiling once again!
