It is not our abilities but persistence that ultimately leads us to our greatest achievements. – Apoorve Dubey
Is your life rooted in persistence?
There's this myth that to be successful, you must rely on your abilities. That's only partially true.
Picture your personal hero.
Now, think to yourself why they're your hero. Is it for their abilities alone or something else? Was it their drive to achieve a so-called pipe dream?
One of my writing heroes is Agatha Christie. She was the first woman to be successful in the mystery genre. She didn't listen to the publishing industry when they told her she couldn't be a writer. She had the ability but she also had the persistence to keep at it. Today, she is known as one of the greatest authors of all time.
Persistence is one of the cornerstones of my life. I had a lot of people in my lifetime tell me I couldn't do something. Did I listen?
I believed in my dream and along with honing my abilities, my persistence gave me the edge.
Your greatest achievements are yet to happen. Great things are in store for you. But how do you get there?
- Believe in yourself
- Make a plan to achieve your goals
- Connect with a mentor
- Improve your skills/abilities
- Grab a hold of your persistence and wrap it around you like a blanket
- Go out into the world and do it, no matter what the world says.
You can do anything you set your mind too! People will tell you no. Keep going!
