I know what you're thinking. Oh man, MRS N has gone crazy. How am I supposed to like being in a crappy place? But stick with me here and listen carefully.
We've all had big plans that have gone awry. I can't tell you how many times I've been fired from a job I truly loved. I've been passed over for a promotion, rejected by someone I had feelings for or had a shock in life.
Each time it's happened, I've had to rechart my destination on the GPS of life.
"Turn right to detour to next goal."
It's hard to be happy when you're not sure where you're going. Being grateful and content helps you see the big picture. Sure, the detour is not what you expected but that doesn't mean you have to wallow.
Take a look around as you traverse and admire the scenery as it whizzes past you. Be in the moment. Stop worrying about what led you to this moment and be grateful you're here.
A month ago, I never would've imagined I'd be here, on N. N. Light's Book Heaven. My very livelihood on the line as I rebuilt our business and watch it grow. I'm thankful for each of you for your amazing support and for your encouragement.
I'm relishing in the scenery and can't wait to see what's around the corner. I only hope they've brought a nice bottle of wine or chocolate.
