Be willing to step outside your comfort zone once in a while; take the risks in life that seem worth taking. The ride might not be as predictable if you'd just planted your feet and stayed put, but it will be a heck of a lot more interesting. -- Edward Whitacre, Jr.
Are you a risk taker? Is your heart tugging you someplace new?
Life is filled with forks in the road. You have a choice. You can go down one side and it is the familiar road you know and love. You know where it leads and you feel safe.
The other side of the road is a mystery. It is dark and filled with the unknown. You don't know what will happen and yet, it intrigues you.
You peek your head and sniff the air.
Your heart whispers, "Let's go down that path."
Your head says loudly, "No, it could be dangerous."
What to do?
I say, go for it! Why? I have taken the path of the familiar and have felt regret. I have also taken the path of the unfamiliar and have felt happiness and excitement. Risks are simply taking a leap of faith.
Imagine a fish jumping from a smaller fish bowl to a larger one. We know that the fish will have a better life being in a larger bowl of water. But the fish doesn't know that. He is taking a huge risk. He could miss the bowl altogether and die. He could not like the bigger bowl. But he is jumping in head first.
Let us be like the fish and take a risk. I know it is scary and I am here to help. Let's jump in together! The water is lovely.
