The one thing my father taught me. . . #inspiration #WednesdayWisdom

"My father taught me not to overthink things, that nothing will ever be perfect, so just keep moving and do your best." ~ Scott Eastwood

Today is my father's birthday. If he was alive, he's be 71. Even though he's up in Heaven, I know he's with me. His words of wisdom echo through my mind this morning but one thought clings to my heart.

Stop overthinking everything, baby. It doesn't matter what people think or what may or may not happen. Life isn't perfect; all you need to do is your best.

There have been times in my life when I disregarded this piece of advice. Boy, did I pay the price. Anxiety ruled the roost and I was miserable. It was only when I let go and stopped overthinking every little thing that life started to make sense.

Thank you, dad, for all the times you loved me from afar. I know your life wasn't perfect and there were people who tried to come between us. Thank you for always showing your love to me, even when I didn't deserve it. I am keeping your memory alive. Happy Birthday, Dad!

My advice to you today: stop overthinking, keep moving forward and do your best. Keep your focus on your journey and your path. When the time is right, all the pieces will fall into place.
