Are you a good samaritan? Do you help those in need or do you turn away, not wanting to get involved?

Today is National Good Samaritan Day. A full day to celebrate random acts of kindness and spreading good will. What a great thing!

The story of the Good Samaritan comes from the Bible but applies to everyone, no matter what your spiritual belief. The story talks about a man who is robbed and beaten, left to lie on the side of the road to die. Three men walk by the injured man but only one helps him. He is the Good Samaritan.

We've all had people who've helped us when we were in need. These kind men and women embodied the Good Samaritan principle. Without thought to their own needs, they've taken time to reach out to us.

There's so many people who need help, whether physically, emotionally or spiritually. Be their Good Samaritan. Show kindness without thought to accolades.
