Feeling worn down? Are you dragging your feet as you try to make it through another day?
It's time for a rest.
I'm back from the four-day mini vacation and I feel ready to tackle the day. Sure, my break coincided with March Madness but it was pure bliss. I rested, relaxed, ate all my favorite pub foods and didn't think about work once.
Why is taking a break so important?
We have so much going on in our lives and it's easy to get run-down. Stress creeps up to our eyeballs and we're not at our best. Our health, especially our well-being, suffers and that's not good. A rest to rejuvenate our mind, body and spirit is in order.
If you can't take a day off, then take an hour or two. Treat yourself to your favorite activity. While doing this activity, empty your mind of worry, to-do lists and be in the moment.
What do you do to refresh your spirit?
