“Are you the right woman, Daisy?” Something clicked in his jaw.


“I’m giving you permission to do what your heart tells you to do. We’re here, alone, and the attraction is an inferno. Nothing stands in our way except for your lingering doubts. Why can’t we do what feels right? I don’t plan to have a ring on my finger by morning, only a satisfaction in my soul.”


His shoulders dropped some.


She knew what she needed to do.


Standing, she loosened the tie on the robe and the material opened, exposing herself to his glassy eyes. “I want you. I always have. I think you want me too. If I’m wrong, I’ll never mention us again.”


His brows met, then he stood and eliminated the space between them in one wide step. When he clamped his hands on her hips and tugged her hard against his solid body, she let out a thankful whimper. She leaned her head back to stare up at him through the fringe of her lashes. Her heart beat fast and her breath quickened.


“Damn. What’s a man to do?” His voice was thready and low.


“Whatever he wants,” she whispered.
