Title: Cowboy Boone
Author: Rhonda Lee Carver
Genre: Contemporary Western Romance
She's his best friend's sister and off limits...but then again, he never cared much for limits. Daisy Bloom had wanted her brother’s best friend, Boone Hawke, for as long as she could remember. Why couldn’t he see her for more than her brother’s little sister? She decided to take charge of her own fate and bring out a few tricks to get him to see her differently. A kiss, a flirty smile, and a flash of her “assets” might get him to bite the forbidden apple. There was something in the water. Must be for Daisy to flirt with him. Brody’s little sister wasn’t so little anymore and Boone had noticed. She’d metamorphosed from the girl with the too-large glasses and oversized bibs, always wearing a smear of dirt on her cheek, to a seductive woman who had him in her crosshairs. Too bad she was off limits. There was a buddy code Boone didn’t plan to cross. Yet, what would one kiss hurt? One itty-bitty touch should put his fantasy to rest. Wrong. One touch sent them into a labyrinth of lust, secrets, and betrayal. A line had been destroyed and there was no going back,. They were caught in a mind-blowing, carnal web. Did they have a future together or would they crash and burn? Sometimes hard decisions needed to be made, and someone would be hurt.
“Are you the right woman, Daisy?” Something clicked in his jaw.
“I’m giving you permission to do what your heart tells you to do. We’re here, alone, and the attraction is an inferno. Nothing stands in our way except for your lingering doubts. Why can’t we do what feels right? I don’t plan to have a ring on my finger by morning, only a satisfaction in my soul.”
His shoulders dropped some.
She knew what she needed to do.
Standing, she loosened the tie on the robe and the material opened, exposing herself to his glassy eyes. “I want you. I always have. I think you want me too. If I’m wrong, I’ll never mention us again.”
His brows met, then he stood and eliminated the space between them in one wide step. When he clamped his hands on her hips and tugged her hard against his solid body, she let out a thankful whimper. She leaned her head back to stare up at him through the fringe of her lashes. Her heart beat fast and her breath quickened.
“Damn. What’s a man to do?” His voice was thready and low.
“Whatever he wants,” she whispered.

Rhonda Lee Carver is a bestselling author of contemporary western and romantic suspense, but she loves to write other genres too. She's known for writing stories that keep readers laughing, crying, gripping the edge of their seats, and screaming all in one book...like riding a virtual roller coaster. Whether she's creating sexy cowboys or tough guys, or sassy, independent heroines, readers are sure to find strong, powerful, memorable characters that are relatable. By day, she taps into her creative, fictional world but at some point she transitions back into reality where she's a volleyball-stands cheerleader, homework virtuoso (at least she thinks so), amateur nurse to skinned knees, mediocre chef with some awesome microwave skills, pet-guru (all the strays show up at her house), and a Jackie of all trades for her kids who are the loves of her life. Yoga and chocolate keep her sane. Hallmark movies require cuddling up with tissues because she can be emotional. She adds a sprinkle of her own real-life adventures in each story she spins because a little truth never hurt anyone. She wouldn't give up one thing in her crazy, chaotic, ever-amusing life, except, she might do magic tricks for the bungalow on the beach she's had her eye on (GOALS). Writing for Rhonda is like falling in love and finding a new best friend over and over again. Her characters will find a place inside your heart too.
