We're in the full swing of winter and all I want to do is curl up with a good cozy mystery. Cozy mysteries are one of my favorite genres to read, especially when the winter weather blows. So, we've decided over a six-day period, we want to feature as many cozies (cozy mystery/cozy crime) as possible in our Cozy Mystery Bookish Event. What is a cozy mystery? According to Google, this is the official description of a cozy mystery. "Cozy mysteries, also referred to as 'cozies', are a subgenre of crime fiction in which sex and violence occur off stage, the detective is an amateur sleuth, and the crime and detection take place in a small, socially intimate community." This event is open to specific genres: cozy mystery, cozy crime, cozy paranormal mystery, animal cozy mystery, basically anything cozy. It can be in any format (e-copy, print, audiobook). If you have a boxed set or are taking part in an anthology, it qualifies. If you have a cozy on sale, free, or on preorder, we want it. We want them all. This event will be marketed as a cozy mystery bookish event. As an added incentive, you get a free customized graphic ($20 value) to use. On February 20-26, we want to feature your books: e-copy, print, or audiobook. If you're featuring your book on sale during these dates, this is a great opportunity to gain more sales. Same goes if your book is a freebie or on preorder. Note: Your book does not have to be on sale to participate in this event. If we get more than forty books, we'll extend the dates. We want you to participate. There's no limit per author. The price is $13 USD per book. You won't find a better deal than that. Please take note of the increased pricing. This is the new pricing for all week-long events going forward. We have an office and a staff which do an outstanding job of making sure your books are marketed to readers. We have to increase prices slightly to pay for their salaries. The giveaway is an Amazon gift card. The amount of the gift card will depend on how many authors participate. The more spots we fill, the bigger the prize for readers. Part of your fee goes towards the gift card. Oh, and no worries, we will take care of awarding the prize to the winner.
