Excerpt

He drew her closer. A spellbinding glint flashed in his eyes. “You’re soft and delicious.”

Speechless, her scalp tingled, and her panties dampened at the sweet torture of his anticipated touch.


“It’s the chicken,” Beth teased, her forehead leaning against his.


“No, it’s not. I need to get out of my clothes.” His voice deepened. The gleam in his eyes darkened. “So do you.”


A wild tremble carried her along on an even wilder roller coaster. At the peak of the ride, she teetered. She held her breath at the anticipation of the sudden fall. The seconds dragged on.


Jarred dipped his head and she felt the heady sensation of his lips as they worked their way up her neck.


Her air-starved lungs filled with his scent, all citrusy and spicy and so undeniably male. His mouth grazed her earlobe. She stretched her neck for more. His chest rumbled at her greediness, but she didn’t care. She turned and stared into his eyes—deep, hazel, and filled with passion. Reclaiming her lips, he crushed her close. His kisses more urgent. He hesitated a heartbeat, then raised his mouth from hers and gazed into her eyes. The roller coaster tipped over the brink and gathered speed.


She yearned to be closer, wanted more.


He lifted her into his arms and walked to their bedroom. “How good are you?” he teased with a silky voice.


“I’ll show you,” she whispered in his ear. His heart pounded against her chest.

He kicked the door closed.
