My Review:


She’ll do anything to save her sister…but she never bargained on falling in love. In Amanda Uhl’s new release, we delve into some modern themes with a paranormal twist. I can admit I was hooked from the very first page. The world-building, characters, romance, and plot twists blend together to make Healing Kiss an unputdownable read.


It all starts with the world-building. Like her other books, Healing Kiss explores gifted supernatural humans being exploited by a government agency. In this particular book, there’s a lot at stake for Lillian. The world-building is brilliant and multi-layered. Every aspect is detailed which makes for excellent reading.


The characters are written with precision. Amanda Uhl shares only what she wants a reader to know at that particular moment. The rest is revealed slowly as the story progresses. I enjoy this style of characterization because it keeps the reader invested in what’s going on.


The romance is beautifully written. It’s a mashup of different tropes (billionaire and PNR) yet honestly portrayed. While the attraction is immediate, there’s a slow build-up to the relationship. The romance unfolds realistically and with plenty of emotion. My heart swooned at times and the ending is wondrous.


If you’re a paranormal romance reader, you need to read this award-winning book. If you like your romance full of emotion and a touch of paranormal, this book is for you.

Award-winning author Amanda Uhl has always had a fascination with the mystical. Having drawn her first breath in a century home rumored to be haunted, you might say she was "born" into it. After a brief stint in college as a paid psychic, Amanda graduated with a bachelor of fine arts in theatre and a master's degree in marketing. Over the past twenty years, she has worked as an admissions representative and graphic designer, owned her own freelance writing company, and managed communications for several Fortune 500 companies, most recently specializing in cyber security and data. Amanda is an avid reader and writes fast-paced, paranormal romantic suspense and humorous contemporary romance from her home in Cleveland, Ohio.
