Do you listen to audiobooks? Do you have a favorite? If you don’t listen to audiobooks, is there a particular reason why not?
I listen to audiobooks often—from various genres and for two reasons. First of all, I like being entertained while I’m doing household chores that aren’t the least bit “entertaining,” and second of all, reading the printed word has become challenging. Many print books have fonts that are both small and pale. Audiobooks are a wonderful solution to that problem.
What makes this a must-listen audiobook?
It is a police drama that is face-paced and at times dangerous. But most of all, it is a love story. Detective Garth thinks he only wants information from Jenna Gallagher, information about her dead husband that he doesn’t have and can’t find out. Something isn’t right, and he wants to know what that something is. And Jenna, Jenna is well aware of the detective’s reputation for hard-headed insubordination, and she knows he shouldn’t approach her with questions about Patrick—and yet, here he is, not caring in the least what his superiors think—or she herself, for that matter. He is nothing like Patrick, and she is not at all what he expected.
