My Review:


He lost her once...he'll do anything to reclaim her and share all of eternity with her. Vampire Anthony Lockton has waited centuries for the promise of his true love reborn. He's filled with guilt over her death, but hope fills him as he's finally found her. Dara is a curator at a museum and that's when he introduces himself. He strokes her body, and she remembers but will she accept him for the vampire he is? Will she give up her life to spend eternity with him?


Renaissance is a hot paranormal romance I couldn't put down. From the very first page, this vampire romance singed my fingertips. I connected with both Anthony and Dara right away. Their chemistry is off the charts hot. I liked how Kristal Dawn Harris incorporated the art world into this story. There are some who would say Renaissance borders on erotic, but I didn't mind. There's a clear, strong plot that incorporates many hot love scenes. It's perfectly balanced and propels the plot. It had a small cast of characters, but I found it added an intimacy between the story and the reader. Renaissance will heat your insides and melt your heart, all at the same time. A story I didn't want to end, Renaissance is a must-read. If hot vampire romances are your reading jam, pick up Renaissance. Highly recommend!

Kristal Dawn Harris is a multiple award-winning, RONE nominated, American romance author. She has been married for 30 years and has two children. Kristal finished a degree from Miami University in Accounting Technology, but quickly realized she preferred words over numbers. She is an avid reader and, in particular, loves darker paranormal romance. Her hobbies include coin collecting, physical fitness, stained-glass art (beginner), poetry, and song writing.

My novels allow me to develop in-depth worlds and I've enjoyed writing each one. If you like a longer book then The Rings books, The Burn, or Three Propositions might be what you're looking for.


My novellas always center on the romance between the hero and heroine. Most are designed to have a prior connection, so there is some basis for their relationship with a couple twists tossed in. It might surprise you to know, novellas and novelettes are my favorite to write. Not because of the length, but the focus on the couple.


I like it hot, so expect sex...lol The Red Heart series is actually historical erotic...light erotic. The Dragon's Gift, Blood Bond, and Seduction by Blood are paranormal erotic. Fair warning romance readers...ha!
