Title: Solar Warden Book Four – Skinwalker

Author: Peter Fuller

Genre: Military Science Fiction/Paranormal

Book Blurb:

You’ve heard the expression, this is the stuff of nightmares …

You have no idea.

The reptilians, the grays and their overlords have had enough with the humans. Their plans and agenda have been forestalled, and now they must go to extreme measures to get back on their timetable.

The Solar Warden team is targeted like never before. New, almost invulnerable enemy craft create dangerous challenges across the fleet with deadly results. A new alien threat, just as impervious and wickedly devious, sets its sights on Scarecrow and anyone who gets in its way–friends and loved ones are not immune. Nothing in the Solar Warden arsenal can defend against this new, supernatural threat. Scarecrow and his comrades must hope they can enlist the aid of a supernatural ally of their own in time.

Book Four is a scare-fest that will have you checking under your bed and in your closet for monsters too hideous and evil to describe. There’s only one way for the Solar Warden team to confront this new threat, and they watch their comrades succumb one by one to its diabolical assaults while searching for a means to neutralize it. Time is running out …

My Review:

A roller coaster ride of excitement and intrigue. The plot progresses in a way that makes it almost impossible to stop reading. Scarecrow still is my fave sci fi character in print. He rivals Picard, in my view, as best sci fi character ever.

The detail is so incredibly well done. You can see and feel every second of every scene. The evil here is so evil, it oozes out of the book. The multiple storylines keep the story fresh and the reader flipping pages.

Jaw droppingly original premise. This incredible sci fi action series now encompasses good ol' fashioned horror. The combination gives an incredible edge to what was already a great series.

Fans of the movie Aliens or Starship Troopers will be in love with this book.  The world building is amazing, as usual. The intensity of the character development makes this a fully enveloping read.

The storyline is so original, it has broken new ground. Never have I read a sci fi military story like this. I have been with Solar Warden from the start, and this is the BEST book of the series so far.

The book is a raucous ride that will keep you up late at night. Brilliantly original. A fantastic ending that is worth reading the book over and over again to get to. On a personal note, it is extremely touching how the author used his own personal tragedy to help craft this story. It is heartfelt and powerful and a true pleasure to read. Can't wait for the next installment. Excellent book which can be easily read as a stand alone.

My Rating: 5+ stars
