My Review:
A terrific addition to this super successful series, this book stands out as a powerful story. There is a great romance in this book, and it is presented in a wonderful fashion. There is much more to this story than the romance, though.
This is the story of two battered souls who have been savaged by life. The author does an incredible job of conveying the mental torment of Charlotte. Any person who has been victimized in such a fashion will quickly relate to Charlotte's story.
The same can be said about the story of Damon. The presentation of an adult still wracked by the horrific abuse in their youth is masterfully done. The reader is treated in watching the two damaged people find hope for the future and find a future.
This is a great romance and it is a great romantic suspense. This book is an emotional tribute to the power of the human spirit. The ability of the two lost souls to overcome their trauma is inspiring. A great book that means much more than one would think.
