My Review:

Once a fierce warrior, now a gladiator with special abilities, Talinn finds his fated mate in the arena, of all places. Thanks to devious scientists, Talinn’s body is filled with reptilian DNA, making him super strong and the ideal gladiator. He takes no pleasure in fighting in the arena, only finding the strength to survive. He sees no escape but refuses to give up. When he first lays eyes on Bailey, he instinctively knows she’s his fated mate. But convincing her is a long, enduring ordeal. The locals are afraid of her so they make her a prize for one lucky gladiator. He must win her to protect her from the other gladiators. How can he protect her after he claims victory? Can she love him the way he loves her, even if he isn’t human? Together, they hatch a plan for escape but will they succeed or will they be trapped forever in their circumstances.

Talinn is a story featured in the Claimed Among the Stars anthology and it’s an unforgettable sci-fi romance. This is book three in this series and must admit, it’s my favorite so far. Talinn is a rugged hero you’ll fall in love with, and Bailey is a spirited heroine. Veronica Scott is one of my favorite authors, especially when it comes to science fiction romance. Her expertise in world-building, characters who leap from the page and into your heart, and expressive narration are on display in Talinn. From the beginning, I connected with Talinn. He’s a paradox especially when it comes to love. The plot moves at a terrific pace with plenty of characters to interact with. I adored the pecking order amongst the gladiators. I found myself mesmerized by the romance. If you’re a romance reader, you’ll enjoy Talinn. If you love sci-fi romance, you’ll want to read Talinn. If you like your romance dark and filled with adventure, pick up Talinn. Highly recommend!
