My Review:
Never in my life have I read such a book like this. Sue Jaskula takes on many issues plaguing our society with swift world-building, stark imagery, and characters that’ll make you cry. Once I started reading, I couldn’t stop until I reached the conclusion. You won’t be able to stop reading Tangled Lies, either.
It starts with the world-building. Sue Jaskula is a wordsmith and her ability to create a world that’s believable and authentic is her genius. She builds this world layer by layer in exquisite fashion and the result is a feast for any reader.
The characters are so well-conceived with just the right amount of suspense to make them irresistible to read. I connected with all the characters, especially Chelsea, As the story rolled on, my heart out to the characters, hoping for justice for the innocent ones. I got emotionally invested the more I read.
This book reveals a pattern in society that is unacceptable. Why is human trafficking still going on? Why haven’t good citizens put a stop to it? Something needs to change.
A brilliant police procedural from start to finish, Tangled Lies will leave its mark on you.

Author Biography:
My career spanned many years in a mix of law firm and hospital administrative work before I jumped at the opportunity to take early retirement and pursue a career in writing, a pursuit I entered with energy and enthusiasm.
Ecstatic to become a published author at age sixty, I still pinch myself every day that someone buys one of my books or drops an awesome review. I love connecting with readers and one of my favourite things is seeing posts of my books being read in faraway places.
After almost a lifetime in Niagara region, my husband and I have retired to the place that feels like home to me, Kincardine, Ontario, near our adult children and grandchildren. On these shores of Lake Huron, with some of the best walking trails in the country, my imagination soars and my finest stories come to life.
