My Review:


Two people separated in time find love in each other’s arms, but can they nab the murderer before the police hang Nathan for two murders? Wow, this time travel romantic suspense packs a punch. So much at stake, so many emotions, Time Swept did in fact sweep me away. The world-building is incredible. The characters leap off the page. The mystery and time-travel interconnect to make this an unputdownable read.


Let’s start with the world-building. Casi McLean is the queen of time travel romance (at least according to me) and I thoroughly enjoyed her latest story. Not only does she take great care in building a world where time-travel exists, but she makes it believable. Each world (past and present) is built with precision and consistency.


The characters are exquisitely written and easy to relate to. As a woman, I naturally connected with Danica more, but I found myself fascinated by Nathan. Even though hundreds of years separate Danica and Nathan, their attraction is undeniable. Falling in love with each other is only part of the story. How they figure out the mystery and the murder is what makes these characters stand out.


I have to talk about the writing for a minute here. Casi McLean writes realistic stories readers clamor for. Her descriptive narration is immersive and makes the story come alive. The writing connects with the reader. It’s so engaging, you won’t want to stop reading. A wonderful time travel romantic suspense I highly recommend.
