Tinder Heart by Bree Pierce @authorbpierce is a Love and Romance Book Festival Pick #romance

Title: Tinder Heart

Author: Bree Pierce

Genre: Contemporary Romance

Book Blurb:

When those closest to me stabbed me in the back, I ran away from the city for a chance to heal. Then I met Will, my living, breathing, fantasy man. And the epitome of everything that could break my heart. He might walk away if I tell him the secret I hold so close—if I don't push him away first. Can I trust a man with my heart one more time?

“Why are you being so nice to me? You don’t even know me.”

After a long silence, he replied, “I know I don’t, but I know Abel Vance. He’s a good man. And believe it or not, I care about you. I know we just met, but can you stand there and tell me there isn’t a little spark between us? Can you tell me you’re just repulsed by the idea of me? A bearded, scraggly-looking logger?”

Of course I couldn’t, and he knew it. I felt it, whatever this was between us. It delved deeper than him helping me after I wrecked my car. But the idea of a relationship scared me. I wasn’t sure when I would be ready for one. Much less with a guy who lived so far away from my home with my parents. When I went back, what would happen then? The idea of going back put a sour taste in my mouth. They could go to hell, for all I cared. Some things were unforgivable. My ex, Jeff, could pack up and go with them. I grimaced at the dark thoughts.

“No, I can’t. But I’m not about to jump headfirst into a relationship with you either.”

“Will you be my friend?” He held his hand out to me, a lifeline waiting for me to grab onto.

“Yes.” I placed my hand and my trust in him.

“I think that’s a good place to start.”

What’s your favorite part about being a romance author?

Cultivating a romance between two of my characters is quite a bit of fun to write. I enjoy bringing out the side of people that’s not perfect, but if the relationship is going to work, they will get through it.

Here’s my tip to add romance to your love life:

Date your significant other, even after you get married. Dates are a way to invest in your relationship through much-needed time together as a couple.
