Sleepy Lion Publishing invites you to this special seminar on Zoom #seminar #publishing #spiritual #readers

Deep down, we all understand and believe that stories have always been a powerful vehicle for self-discovery and transformation. Throughout history, myths and archetypes have guided humanity toward deeper truths about the world and our place within it. My own journey through writing and creative expression has been intertwined with spiritual exploration. By drawing upon the timeless insights of Carl Jung's archetypes and Joseph Campbell's Hero's Journey, among many other thinkers and writers, we can recognize that myths contain universal themes that help us connect with our own personal journeys, unlocking a sense of meaning that transcends individual lives. These are universal truths that apply to all cultures and paths. This is crucial as our creative industries grow and change. The publishing world must align with the ever growing need for meaning in our lives, allowing each individual to follow their own journey page by page.

Voices of contemporary Christians: Towards the Universal brings an opportunity for us all to reflect on how these stories shape our spiritual and creative selves. In this work, varying voices explore how storytelling and spiritual exploration is crucial to understanding our collective quest for a deeper purpose. They also express how different yet similar our own spiritual journeys can be, and how this can grow within Christianity. The publishing house, Sleepy Lion Publishing, is dedicated to upholding core values such as author empowerment, freedom, and transparency. We seek stories that broaden human understanding, challenge our assumptions, and elevate our awareness of the diverse world we live in. These narratives are crucial in a world desperate for value and meaning.

Heather-Jane Ozanne, co-author and founder of Spirit of Peace, highlights the importance of personal biographies, encouraging each of us to tell our own stories and relate to the narratives of others. This, she believes, fosters empathy and solidarity, binding us together across the differences that often divide us.

Janice Dolley, co-author and adult educator, underscores the urgent need for a new story for our times—a story that seeks a universal spirituality within the context of Christianity but applies universally. Her insights suggest that this evolving narrative is essential as we recognize the interconnectedness of our global society and the shared spiritual journey that transcends traditional boundaries.

Eco theologian Diarmuid O'Murchu delves into the synthesis of science and theology to help humanity build communities rooted in universal understanding. His work illustrates how scientific inquiry and spiritual exploration can coexist harmoniously, creating fertile ground for a compassionate future that honors both our internal and external understandings of the world.

We invite you to join us on May 17th at 7 PM via Zoom for an explorative seminar and the launch of Voices of contemporary Christians: Towards the Universal. This event will feature enlightening talks from Michael Amos, Janice Dolley, Heather-Jane Ozanne, and Diarmuid O'Murchu. Together, we will explore key questions:

  • How can personal and spiritual biographies deepen our understanding of contemporary Christianity?

  • What role do myths and universal themes play in our spiritual journeys and how does this relate to publishing and creativity?

  • How can a new, emerging story foster a sense of unity and purpose in today's world?

  • In what ways can science and theology work together to enhance our collective spirituality?

This seminar is an opportunity to engage with these questions, participate in meaningful dialogue, and be inspired by stories that bridge the universal and the personal. Don't miss out on this insightful gathering of minds and souls.
