She tries to keep their sparring quiet from their boss but when he pulls them into his office, she realizes her mistake. She’s allowed Rafe to get under her skin. She must swallow her aversion to Rafe because they must work together. They’re tasked with wooing prospective clients to the firm at the Jingle Ball gala, a benefit event to raise money for testicular cancer. Under the glow of the lights, she sees Rafe in a whole new light. When they succumb to their mutual desires, Phoebe’s unsure what to make of their budding relationship. Is it just a fanciful holiday fling or something more? One thing’s certain, where Rafe is concerned, all she wants for Christmas is him wrapped up under the mistletoe.
