Do you listen to audiobooks? Do you have a favorite? If you don’t listen to audiobooks, is there a particular reason why not?

I have listened to a few audiobooks in the past when I did more long-distance driving. Nowadays road trips are short. I’m more inclined to read a print copy or ebook.

What makes this a must-listen audiobook?

C J Grey does a great job narrating the story. This isn’t an easy case for Chene and the squad, with so many potential suspects and pressure to solve it quickly. There is also an element of tension between Chene and his boss, Pappy Cantrell, when his relationship with the old mobsters becomes apparent.

This one can keep you guessing, as the detectives work diligently to develop the clues and figure out who is behind the murder.

Narrator Biography:

C.J. Grey

I'm not a classically trained actor, but I've been acting my whole life. I love, love, love narrating because I love stories and being the one to tell them. Narrating to me is a very intimate thing. You are basically telling a story to someone right into their ear which if not done well can be a very unpleasant experience. I won't lie and say "I'm the best narrator ever" because I'm not... yet, but I think my learning curve has been impressive and I continue to improve each and every day. I love mystery, sci-fi and fantasy genres best, but I'm willing to try any genre at least once to see how it goes.
