Title: Loblolly, Loblolly, You’re So Tall

Author: Mommy Moo Moo

Genre: Children’s Books, Nature, Environment

Book Blurb:

Loblolly pine trees fill Mommy Moo Moo's magical backyard. "Loblolly, Loblolly, you're so tall. You reach to the sky, up so high." These giant pines native to the American Southeast have never been so celebrated for their grace, their strength, and their beauty as in this enchanting picture book. Written in a lyrical style perfect for bedtime, "Loblolly, Loblolly, You're So Tall" captures the whimsy of a child's imagination and the majesty of the outdoors.

My Review:

Nature is beautiful, magical and it’s our connection to it that makes life glorious. In Loblolly, Loblolly, You’re So Tall, Mommy Moo Moo peels back the curtain to reveal the child-like wonder of nature.

From the description of the trees to the wildlife it supports, the story unfolds in easy to read words with bold typeface. Poetic prose, while simple in nature, spoke to my soul. The illustrations, however, are what makes this such a work of art. Each page is illustrated with such detail, it almost looks like a photograph. The whimsical images remind me of a picture book of the Twelve Dancing Princesses I had when I was a young girl. So lifelike, I almost saw the trees move in the breeze and heard the birds sing.

If you’re a nature lover like me, you’re going to want this book. It’s not just for children but for all ages.

Disclaimer: I received a print copy from the author in the hopes I’d review it.
