My Review:
Cason is willing to do whatever it takes to stop Ghost…but is he prepared to lose his heart? Cason is on the hunt for a madman without any remorse, a man known only as Ghost. As part of an elite group of retired special forces, their first mission is to catch the elusive Ghost. Cason kidnaps a female doctor named Yara, a woman connected to Ghost. Her expertise is infectious diseases and biowarfare. Cason doesn’t know how Yara plays into Ghost’s plan, but he knows she’s the key to nabbing Ghost. So, he kidnaps her. While they’re holed up in a remote cabin, he discovers how she’s tied to Ghost. The truth unravels him as does Yara’s beauty. He needs to keep his focus on his mission and not on his fiery captive. Otherwise, they both might wind up dead. Can opposites Cason and Yara work together to bring down Ghost or will they both bite the bullet?

I connected with Cason and the mission right away. He’s a man of action and his one-track mind comes across as realistic. I also connected with Yara but for very different reasons. Torn in two doesn’t begin to describe her inner conflict. The descriptive narration is intricate with realistic verbiage concerning bioterrorism and special forces. This book also has a psychological thriller feel, especially in Ghost’s POV. The plot moves at a fast pace which helps to propel the suspense part of the story. The action scenes are well-written, and I couldn’t help but whip through the pages as I read. A romantic suspense not to be missed, Bite the Bullet is a thrilling read. Fans of romantic suspense and high-octane suspense will love Bite the Bullet. Highly recommend!
